this is the most pointless bookcase ever!!!!

Argh! Looking at it already frustrates me with questions of ‘How am I going to pull out that book at the bottom??! How am I going to pull out that book in the middle??!’ D:

Haha you two OCD people!

Shut up Jamie, it would bother you immensely too :P
GOOD POINT GERALDINE. i was thinking more like WTF is the point of a bookcase where i you know CAN’T SEE THE SPINES OF THE BOOKS!?!??!! like if i am looking for a specific gaiman book and all i keep pulling out are pratchetts, i would go completely BATSHIT INSANE.
what a stupid bookcase. i think this bookcase actively offends me :(

Arrr, I didn’t even realise about ‘not being able to see the spines’, I must admit I was too busy thinking about how the books would keep collapsing everytime I pulled something out and then -gasp- they would fall to the floor and dent their corners, the cover would get bent or summat D:

you guys know what this would be perfect for? dvds. the width of the shelf looks like it’d be enough to fit a dvd lengthwise so you could still see the spine, and dvds aren’t as heavy as books. (then again, with columns that high… i guess you could always partition the columns at intervals to reduce the load, and make it unobtrusive-looking.)

Nothing kills a good rant like common sense. Haha! But yes, I agree with you, g.
